MU PRESENTS ANNUAL BULLARD-TEMPLETON LECTURE<br />
FAYETTEVILLE, NC—Robert Russell, Ph.D., will speak on “Cosmology: Science and<br />
Theology in Creative Mutual Interaction” at <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong> Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00<br />
a.m. in Yarborough Auditorium. The presentation is part of the Templeton Lecture Series on Science<br />
and Religion, and the event is free and open to the public.<br />
Dr. Russell is the founder and director of the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences,<br />
and an Ian G. Barbour Professor of Theology and Science in Residence at the Graduate Theological<br />
Union, in Berkeley, Calif. He is a leading researcher and spokesperson for the growing international<br />
body of theologians and scientists who are committed to a positive dialogue between these fields. He<br />
has written and edited many volumes in the field. Dr. Russell is an ordained minister in the United<br />
Church of Christ. He earned a Ph.D. in physics from the <strong>University</strong> of California at Santa Cruz, a<br />
Master of Arts in theology, and a Master of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion.<br />
