3.9 OVERFLOW DEVICE<br />

A. JR Smith model number RH9530-DOK, multi-function overflow device.<br />

3.10 MAIN CONTROL SYSTEM<br />

A. The main control system shall include a programmable logic controller (PLC) custom<br />

programmed to control all operations <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Rainwater System including data-logging <strong>of</strong><br />

water collection volumes and usage.<br />

B. System shall include a color graphic touch screen interface panel custom programmed to<br />

allow access on a security basis to various parameters <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> system as well as interface<br />

capability to <strong>Building</strong> Automation/Management System.<br />

C. Control System shall be pr<strong>of</strong>essionally wired with circuit breakers and wire terminals<br />

with all wires and terminals labeled. Full wiring Schematics and Documentation to be<br />

provided. Note that color graphic information panel can be remote located in <strong>the</strong> main<br />

building or accessed via internet interface via phone or cell modem. Manufactured by<br />

Water Harvesting Solutions, Inc. or Advanced Mechanical Systems.<br />

3.11 MANUFACTURER SERVICES<br />

A. System to be installed by licensed plumbing contractor. A factory authorized technician<br />

shall be available to assist contractor in installation <strong>of</strong> system. Final system startup by<br />

equipment provider and training to owner shall be included in system price. (Minimum<br />

three days on-site).<br />

B. Special Manufacturer’s Warranty: Manufacturer’s standard form in which manufacturer<br />

agrees to repair, restore, or replace defective work within specified warranty period.<br />

1. Warranty Period: Two years from date <strong>of</strong> Substantial Completion.<br />

C. Initial Maintenance Service: Beginning at Substantial Completion, provide two years full<br />

maintenance service by skilled employees <strong>of</strong> rainwater harvesting Installer. Include<br />

monthly preventive maintenance, repair or replacement <strong>of</strong> worn or defective components,<br />

lubrication, cleaning, and adjusting as required for proper equipment operation. Provide<br />

parts and supplies same as those used in <strong>the</strong> manufacture and installation <strong>of</strong> original<br />

equipment.<br />

1. Perform maintenance, including emergency callback service, during normal<br />

working hours.<br />
