Setting Up the DMA8Plus<br />

Dialog Normalization<br />

When enabled (Enable), this option sets the decoder level shift according to the encoded<br />

metadata embedded in a Dolby Digital (AC‐3) bitstream. Metadata is available on most<br />

DVDs, terrestrial and satellite broadcast signals, and other Dolby Digital sources. The<br />

default is Disable.<br />

3.5.4 Dolby E Settings<br />

Following is a description of the Dolby E settings.<br />

2Ch Decode Mode<br />

Same functionality as for Dolby Digital, as described previously.<br />

Dialog Normalization<br />

Same functionality as for Dolby Digital, as described previously.<br />

Program Select<br />

You can select one of four possible programs to receive a Dolby E bitstream: P1, P2, P3, or<br />

P4. The default is P1.<br />
