Since aesthetics is such an important part of the custom installation offering, we are always looking for ways to make<br />
the speakers we sell more attractive. Making them a neutral color, making them flush and paintable are all part of this<br />
effort. However, the fact that the mechanics of installation require certain design elements directly affecting the look of<br />
the finished speaker.<br />
The flange or bezel serves two purposes. The first is to sandwich the wall material between it and the bracket or<br />
doglegs that tighten against the wall from the inside. The other is to cover the rough edge created when the hole is<br />
cut to accept the speaker. For some this flange is less than attractive so various attempts have been made to hide it.<br />
Unfortunately this has resulted in the installation becoming much more labor intensive and costly to the customer.<br />
SpeakerCraft now offers a simple solution. The NEAT grilles are a two-part system. The first is a round grille bracket that<br />
installs behind the flange when the speaker is being installed. The second is the grille itself that magnetically attaches to<br />
the grille bracket covering the entire speaker flange.<br />
The result is a finished install that is grille only and less obtrusive in the room. There are three sizes covering all 5, 6, 7 and<br />
8-inch SpeakerCraft ceiling speakers. Just another aesthetic option from the leader in custom installed loudspeakers<br />
and electronics.
