Shiprock Student Services<br />
Student Programs<br />
Shiprock Campus sponsors athletic events, student dances, American Indian presentations, and an annual art show.<br />
Shiprock Associated Students schedule activities for the college community through seasonal events at Halloween,<br />
Thanksgiving, and Christmas.<br />
Adult Basic Education/General Education Development Program<br />
The Adult Basic Education/General Education Development (ABE/GED) Program at Shiprock Campus offers<br />
preparatory classes for individuals who want to improve reading, writing, and mathematics skills or who want to<br />
earn their GED diplomas. Individuals who are 16 or older and who have not completed high school are eligible.<br />
Enrollment can occur anytime throughout the year. Other ABE/GED sites operated by the Shiprock Office include<br />

Shiprock Learning Center<br />
The Learning Center at Shiprock Campus provides a friendly atmosphere for studying. Peer tutors assist students<br />
who may encounter academic difficulty. Individualized and group tutoring is always available. The Learning Center<br />
administers <strong>College</strong> Placement Test. Computers are available with internet access and a variety of software<br />
programs, including Choices, an internet based career assessment. The Learning Center also manages the ABE/GED<br />
