Summary: This is an intorduction to Bunraku Theater, containing information about the founders of Bunraku Takemoto Gidaya a musician and Chikamatsu Monzaemon a playwright; who brought the combination of Puppets, chanting stories and Shamisen together to become Bunraku. This documentary looks at the creative collaboration between Chikamatsu and Takemnoto and how they founded the Takaemoto Theater that lead to the "Golden Age of Bunraku". The role of the artist involved in a Bunraku Performance are also explained from the Narrator, who is the voice of all the characters, to the craftmen, who make the puppets. The puppeteers themselves are three to a puppet, which is unique to Bunraku Theater.
