During Shiur Kelali for the Middle School this week we “Dated” the Omer. Using the dual Pessach
concepts of “I am Hashem’s first born” and “I am Hashem’s beloved daughter” we gauged the
atmospheres of the current “Dates”: Pessach (when we feel both), the Omer (only feel first born), Yom
HaSho’ah vehaGevurah (feel neither), Yom Hazikkaron (first born returns) and Yom Ha’Atzma’ut (feel both
again!).
Before Pessach a number of Grade 11 students ran a very successful Kiddies Corner. As our students did
fun-filled activities with the “kiddies”, the kids’ moms were able to prepare for Pessach. In the process a
significant amount of money was raised for the school – so it was a real win-win project! A special “yasher
kochechen” to Kaylee Lazarus, Gabi Urdang, Kezia Winer, Sassie Weinberg, Dani Singer, Sasha Price &
Jenna Damelin.
Kol Hakavod to those who were recently added to the group of Shalhevet students who received prizes for
their milestone achievements attending shiurim last term:

Shalhevet started up in the mornings again and hosted a special evening shiur this week with Rav Alon
Joseph.

and finally a “mo’adim lesimchah le-ge’ulah sheleimah” for next week!
