Note from <strong>Region</strong>al<br />
Treasurer:<br />
Central Office have taken<br />
advice from a new audit<br />
inspection which has<br />
recommended that the BWY<br />
should be collecting VAT on<br />
paid advertising in the regional<br />
newsletters. As <strong>of</strong> the 1st<br />
March <strong>2013</strong>, we should be<br />
collecting VAT on<br />
advertisements. Any ads<br />
submitted by a registered<br />
charity can be zero-rated. If<br />
you are an advertiser who is<br />
VAT registered and wishes to<br />
claim the VAT back, please ask<br />
the Editor to issue a VAT<br />
invoice before paying. All<br />
other advertisers can send a<br />
cheque to the Editor along<br />
with their ad but it must<br />
include the VAT. Invoices can<br />
be sent on request. <strong>The</strong> new<br />
rates are given on page 3.<br />
