The building is being erected on a 10,000-squaremeter
site in the northwest sector of the airport campus,
close to the main approach road and P41, the
vacationer parking lot. A shuttle service will be available
to take hotel guests to either of the airport’s two
terminals or the Central Area, just a few minutes
away. The hotel will also have a large car park of its
own and direct access to the rapid transit rail line.
Demand for overnight stays at Munich Airport is on
the rise, not just among business travelers but also
among people traveling for pleasure, especially
families, so the new hotel will be filling a gap rather
than competing with the airport’s existing five-star
Hotel Kempinski. Priced in a more affordable category,
it complements perfectly the hotel accommodation
already available on campus.
