attractive new feature, the Ballonstüberl, was added
to the Airbräu pub. Another highlight among the
eateries is Smokey Joe’s sausage stand in the
München Airport Center’s Forum, which sells a
range of curried sausages in traditional Munich,
Ruhr, and Berlin styles.
Allresto has made important advances environmentally,
too. Not only has the company published its
own environmental statement, it also successfully
obtained ISO 14001 and EMAS certification in 2008.
This process has helped to identify potential for
saving energy, water, packaging material and cleaning
agents. In addition, certification has greatly
improved the transparency of individual eco initiatives
while at the same time raising employees’ awareness
of environmental issues – both important factors
toward improving Allresto’s environmental performance
in the future.
The exceptional quality of Allresto’s bars and restaurants
was underscored by Munich’s results in the
Word Airport Awards 2008. Besides being voted
number one in Europe and number five worldwide,
we ranked third globally in the category Airport Dining.
