John Balser graduated from LCCC in 1998 with a degree in Business
Administration. As President and CEO of Western Vista Federal Credit
Union in Cheyenne, Wyoming, John is responsible for the overall
operational, lending, and financial management of a credit union that
includes three branches, employs approximately forty people, and
controls $95,000,000 in assets.
John’s success and the financial health of his credit union require
various forms of clear, precise, persuasive writing. John writes
summaries and reports to the Board of Directors and federal regulators,
explanations of policies and procedures, employee evaluations, and
general correspondence (using traditional mail and e-mail). Most
recently, John authored the credit union’s investment policy.
