Mary Talkington is a Networking and Communications Management Professor in the College<br />

of Engineering and Information Sciences. She has been teaching at <strong>DeVry</strong> since October 1999.<br />

Professor Talkington has worked in the Networking field since 1988, holding such positions as<br />

Telecommunications Manager at Lathrop & Gage, LLC; Network Administrator at<br />

McCormick Distilling; Network Specialist at Hallmark Cards; and, Network and<br />

Telecommunication Specialist for the Department of Defense. She has earned a Bachelor’s<br />

degree in Management and Information Systems from Park <strong>University</strong> and a Master’s degree<br />

in Education from Webster <strong>University</strong>. Professor Talkington is a 2005 PRIDE award winner.<br />

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences<br />

Kate Brewington is a Senior Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences teaching<br />

both speech and drama courses. She has been a teacher for over 30 years and at <strong>DeVry</strong><br />

<strong>University</strong> for the last 23 years. Before starting her career at <strong>DeVry</strong>, she was a graduate<br />

teaching assistant at Pittsburg State <strong>University</strong> and taught at Missouri Southern State College<br />

as well as Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree<br />

in Education with a minor in Speech Communication & Theatre in 1979 and her Master’s<br />

degree in Speech Communication & Theatre in 1982 from Pittsburg State <strong>University</strong>. Kate is a<br />

2008 Pride Award Winner.<br />

Rob Curry is a Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and teaches<br />

mathematics, statistics, and economics. Rob has been teaching for over 20 years and came to<br />

<strong>DeVry</strong> in November 1989. He earned a Bachelor’s degrees in construction science and in<br />

business administration at <strong>Kansas</strong> State <strong>University</strong>. His Master of Business Administration in<br />

Quantitative Analysis was earned at the <strong>University</strong> of Missouri-<strong>Kansas</strong> <strong>City</strong>.<br />

Gary Fuchs is a Senior Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He teaches<br />

courses in history, ethics, and humanities. He has been teaching over 30 years with the last 23<br />

years at <strong>DeVry</strong>. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at Central Missouri<br />

State <strong>University</strong>. Gary is a Pride award winner for 2009.<br />
