<strong>The</strong> ZS <strong>Electronic</strong> <strong>Load</strong>s have a<br />

fast data logging function with<br />

the installation of the ZS13<br />

option (Data Acquisition Tool).<br />

Together with an optionally<br />

programmable waveform, the<br />

V-I characteristics of solar<br />

panels can be simply recorded.<br />

A particular benefit is the<br />

simultaneous measurement of<br />

voltage and current by the<br />

electronic ZS loads. Voltage and<br />

current are recorded at precisely<br />

the same time.<br />

Function<br />

<strong>The</strong> electronic load is operated<br />

in constant voltage mode and<br />

travels a ramp starting in short<br />

circuit and ending at a higher<br />

voltage than the panel´s open<br />

circuit voltage.<br />

Measured values for voltage<br />

and current are recorded and<br />

saved continuously.<br />

read out and shown in an<br />

programmed in SCPI Syntax.<br />

<strong>The</strong> speed of the ramp and the<br />

sampling rate can be adjusted<br />

within broad parameters.<br />

Example<br />

Measurement of the curve of a<br />

20 V solar panel with a ZS506-4<br />

electronic load.<br />

<strong>The</strong> ramp starts at 0 V and rises<br />

within 50 ms to 30 V.<br />

<strong>The</strong> measurement interval is set<br />

to 200 μs.<br />
