Well doesn't time fly, and what a summer the club has had, and is still having.

I must congratulate Terry Caldwell on his endeavours with regard to securing the RL regatta it was
certainly a resounding success.
It was certainly interesting to watch how the members from this regatta have maintained a consistent
generation of sailing, with a lot of father and son teams. Some boats were sailed by at least three
generations. All the families and people who attended definitely knew how to have fun and build a
good camaraderie amongst them.
We managed to get some good exposure during this event with PRIME, WIN and the Border Mail giving
us good coverage on three consecutive days.
The RL regatta was also a fantastic opportunity for our club see how our resources (people) stand up
when these events are organised. It must be said that everyone from our club, who got involved, did a
fantastic job.
Let's remember that every person who visits our club is a prospective member. Every person who visits
our club during invitation regattas is maybe someone who provides an opportunity for our club to
grow. Let's make them feel welcome as you never know where it may lead. This is how all of you as
members can promote the club.
With regard to up and coming events. If anyone has something with which they want help to get the
message out amongst the broader community, please let me know.
