Becoming accredited through YA/YV courses.<br />
If you have thought about becoming a club race officer, instructor or coach or would like to consolidate<br />
your practical experience with a recognised qualification, check out the YV calendar for courses.<br />
Please note that Erwin and maybe others will lead half-day course laying sessions to help duty<br />
personnel learn the procedures. Notification of these will be by email.<br />
Assistant Instructors should keep an eye out for opportunities to complete the Instructor course.<br />
Boat Licences<br />
Everybody should make an effort to get a motor boat licence, so they can drive rescue boats and TYs. If<br />
you complete the Powerboat Handling course on <strong>Feb</strong> 15-17 then take its certificate and a log book to<br />
NSW Roads and Maritime Services or VicRoads, you can get a licence. Lee Geraghty will bring a supply<br />
of log books and these will be left in the training room.<br />
Rescue crew<br />
We are very keen to hear from anyone who might be available as a regular crew for a rescue boat and<br />
back-up starter. Anyone who would like to volunteer<br />
Blokarting - you’re welcome<br />
If you missed the opportunity to join NEW (North East Windsports) for Blokarting at Wangaratta<br />
