RED BOAT TROUPES AND CANTONESE ... - University of Georgia

Mr Liu is talented in many arts. I have read articles by him with detailed statistics of his
research on the development of Cantonese opera in the last few decades, especially the period he
had participated in the New Territories. He has composed and notated over 500 songs. Mr Liu
is innovative in combining traditional opera style with Western harmony. His group has been
very active in staging performances.
