Service description: Kolan Gardens is a 20 bed low care facility which allows longterm<br />

residential care for aged citizens, as well as respite assistance close to their<br />

families in the Kolan Shire. The facility is managed by the Churches of Christ Care. A<br />

Friends of Kolan Gardens committee has been established to cater for ongoing<br />

fundraising.<br />

Operating/meeting times: Meetings are generally held at 2.00 pm on the third<br />

Monday of each month from January to October however there are exceptions when<br />

meetings are combined with another activity and persons wishing to attend should<br />

phone to confirm the details. Any visiting ex servicewomen, Australian or Allied, is<br />

welcome to attend our meetings. New members are also welcome at a meeting,<br />

without obligation. We hold our Annual lunch in November, our AGM in March and<br />

sometimes host a Reunion in July.<br />

Service description: We offer comradeship to women who have served in the<br />

Australian Defence Force or the Forces of the Commonwealth or Allied countries. We<br />

have meetings, outings, luncheons and host reunions. We also attend reunions in<br />

other Centres. We attend commemorative and remembrance activities as a group. In<br />

2003 our Association proudly unveiled and dedicated a memorial to all Australian<br />

Service Women; this memorial is located in Lions Remembrance Park, Takalvan Street,<br />

<strong>Bundaberg</strong><br />
