Chapter House Corporation Boards
The House Corporation Board of Directors is comprised of Kappa Delta Alumnae from
any chapter. It includes the House Corporation president, vice-president, secretary,
treasurer and other members at large, and also includes the collegiate chapter president
and treasurer. The collegiate chapter house manager may attend the House Corporation
Board meetings but is not a voting member. The Board provides the leadership and
continuity that is so important to the long-term operation and well being of the chapter.
It is the goal of National Kappa Delta to meet the housing requirements on each campus
and to have housing facilities that compare favorably with those of other National
Panhellenic Conference groups on campus.
The House Corporation Board’s role is that of a landlord who rents to, and maintains for,
the collegiate chapter a completely furnished home. The House Corporation owns the
common area furnishings, and maintains and decorates the facility. Thus, it is the House
Corporation Board which has the primary responsibility for providing not only an
adequate housing facility for the collegiate chapter, but also for making this facility at
least comparable (if at all possible) to housing of other fraternal groups on campus.
Although the House Corporation Board manages the property, the collegiate chapter
rightfully has a voice in the operation of the corporation. The collegiate chapter shall be
represented on the Board of Directors of the House Corporation by the chapter president
and chapter treasurer for the duration of their terms of office.
Annual training is available through the housing seminars held in conjunction with
National Convention or national conferences. There is a Chapter Housing and House
Corporation Manual available on the 24/7 Filing Cabinet on the Kappa Delta Web site –
www.kappadelta.org
The House Corporation membership differs from the House Corporation Board of
Directors and is comprised of alumnae members from the Epsilon Pi Chapter. At the
annual meeting, the membership votes on the agenda items brought forth by the Board
and elects new Board members from the chapter alumnae or other Kappa Deltas in the
community.

Directors – assist corporation board as needed, participate in the decision-making
