be marked to effectively estimate movement patterns. Enlarg<strong>in</strong>g the survey area would<br />

help determ<strong>in</strong>e if some fish are mov<strong>in</strong>g long distances. Besides <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g the number<br />

marked and enlarg<strong>in</strong>g the survey area, additional work needs to be done on the mark<strong>in</strong>g<br />

technique. We did observe a few marked <strong>Ch<strong>in</strong>ook</strong> salmon that appeared to have some<br />

type of <strong>in</strong>jury <strong>in</strong> the caudal peduncle due to the mark<strong>in</strong>g process. Further test<strong>in</strong>g of the<br />

location of the mark, type of mark, and mark<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>strument needs to be conducted.<br />
