The rates given for cover in the range of 1–5 points, for woody covers of >45%, 36–45%, 26–35%, 15–25% and
samples for herbaceous species and 21 composite sample units respectively, and all in all 89 composite sample units (Table 3) were subjected to analysis using the General Linear Model (GLM) procedure of SPSS version 12. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for variables of range condition.
