Marine Science

Prerequisite: Grade of C or
better in Biology and Chemistry

This course provides the student with
a survey of the marine biome.
Included are concepts relating to the
chemical, physical and geological
nature of the oceans, as well as those
relating to marine flora and fauna.

Environmental Science

The purpose of this course is to study
man’s interaction with the
environment. The content should
include, but not be limited to, the
following: forms of pollution,
conservation, planning and policy,
public land usages, population
dynamics and major forms of energy.

Biology

This course provides a college level course in chemistry
and prepares the student to seek credit and/or appropriate
placement in college biology courses. A research
component is a major emphasis in this course. Students
are required to take the AP Biology exam.
