Workplace Essentials (TA I)
Practical Arts (TA II - III)

This course provides instruction in
decision making, following written
and oral instructions, time
management, and more. Students will
work with teacher and/or
administrative staff to ensure that the
operations of the school function
smoothly. Trust, attendance, attitude,
etc. are emphasized.
Digital Design I
Grade Level: 10 - 12
Prerequisite: CCC
Full Year - 1 Credit
Do you love clipart, fonts, colored
printers, and publishing layout, and
design on the computer Through the
use of Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator),
This course will cover all these things
while giving you basic entry level
skills for a career in the digital design
industry and word processing.
NOTE: Students may be able to
become Photoshop Certified.
Digital Design II - III
Grade Level: 10 - 12
Prerequisite: Digital Design I
Full Year - 1 Credit
A continuation of the first year while
going into greater depth with Adobe
Creative Suite. Upon completion of
CCC and Digital Design 1 & 2, you
may qualify for the Gold Seal
Scholarship.
NOTE: Students may be able to
become Photoshop Certified.
Web Design I
Grade Level: 10 - 12
Prerequisite: CCC
Full Year - 1 Credit
This course is designed to provide a
basic overview of the Internet and
WWW. The content includes
operating systems, basic HTML
commands, navigation of the Internet,
Intranet and Web, and Web page
design.
NOTE: Students may qualify for
Dreamweaver certification.
Web Design II & III
Grade Level: 10 - 12
Prerequisite: Web Design I or
II; Web III requires
Administrative Approval
Full Year - 1 Credit each
This course is designed to provide
advanced concepts for Internet,
Intranet and Web Design. The content
includes Internet/Intranet tools, Web
site promotion, advanced HTML
commands, advanced Web page
design and multimedia applications.
Upon completion of CCC, Web 1 & II,
you may qualify for the Gold Seal
Scholarship.
NOTE: Students should qualify for
Dreamweaver certification and Flash.

Business Cooperative
Education Directed Study
(OJT Class)
Grade Level: 11 - 12
Prerequisite: CCC, registered
for OJT with BCE Coordinator’s
Approval
Full Year - 1 Credit
Can earn multiple credits
All students signed up for BCE OJT
will sign up for this course as their
related course in order to be placed in
a common class. After school begins,
each student will be individually
placed in the course title that meets
their business program sequence to
enable them to become a program
completer and/or Gold Seal
Scholarship recipient. Students will be
furthering their computer skills in
Microsoft Office and Digital Design.

Study

This program offers an excellent
opportunity for vocational and collegebound
students to apply business skills
and knowledge with on-the-job
training in business and office
occupations. BCE students also earn
money while they are employed in
part-time positions leaving to go to
work either sixth or seventh period
while gaining valuable computer skills
through the classroom related course
(Business Cooperative Education
Directed Study). One or two periods of
release time can be chosen.
