2.5.2 SDOZ<strong>VM</strong>54 PRODPART<br />

This file is generally placed on the MAINT 2C2 (Samples & Install Tools Disk). The file contains the<br />

saved segment definitions for the z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Licensed Products.<br />

The <strong>VM</strong>SES/E SEGDATA file may be updated with the Saved Segment (DCSS) definitions for all the z/<strong>VM</strong><br />

SDO Licensed Products at the same time by following the instructions in Appendix D.2, “Creating Saved<br />

Segments Utilizing the” on page 300.<br />

After the <strong>VM</strong>SES/E SEGDATA file has been updated, the <strong>VM</strong>SES/E <strong>VM</strong>FBLD Command may be utilized<br />

to define and create the Saved Segments for <strong>VM</strong>SES/E Format Licensed Products.<br />

The Saved Segments for z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Semi-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E Licensed Products must be defined and created by<br />

following the instructions in the Technical Notes provided for each z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Semi-<strong>VM</strong>SES/E Licensed<br />

Products.<br />

2.5.3 Installation Steps for the Enabling Aid<br />

The Enabling Aid files are available as a download on the z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Website.<br />

The Enabling Aid files are provided in <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive <strong>format</strong>. The following are the general steps<br />

required to transfer the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file to a z/<strong>VM</strong> System and to unpack the Enabling Aid files from<br />

the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file.<br />

1. On the <strong>VM</strong> SDO Home Page, click on 'z/<strong>VM</strong> 5.4.0 SDO (5741-A06)'<br />

This will take you to a Webpage that lists the z/<strong>VM</strong> 5.4.0 SDO specific documents that are<br />

available on-line, including the SDO Enabling Aid.<br />

2. On the <strong>VM</strong> SDO Document Page, click on 'z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Enabling Aid'<br />

This will take you to a Webpage that contains the SDO Enabling Aid download link and<br />

in<strong>format</strong>ion on how to upload the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file from your PC to a z/<strong>VM</strong> and then unpack<br />

the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file.<br />

3. On the SDO Enabling Aid Webpage, click on 'Download z/<strong>VM</strong> SDO Enabling Aid'<br />

This will download the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file with the Enabling Aid files to your PC.<br />

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, click on the link and save the archive file to your PC.<br />

If you are us Mozilla Firefox, right click on the link and select 'Save link as ...' to save the archive<br />

file to your PC.<br />

4. Upload the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file with the Enabling Aid files from your PC to your z/<strong>VM</strong> System.<br />

The <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file must be uploaded in binary.<br />

5. On the z/<strong>VM</strong> System, perform the following steps to unpack the <strong>VM</strong>ARC Archive file.<br />
