The NOMEMO option will load memos from the<br />

tape but will not issue a prompt to send them to<br />

the system printer. Specify the MEMO option if<br />

you want to be prompted for printing the memo.<br />

This command will perform the following:<br />

loads all of the Memo-to-Users<br />

loads various Licensed Product control files,<br />

including the Product Parameter file (PPF) and<br />

PRODPART files<br />

create the <strong>VM</strong>FINS PRODLIST on your A-disk.<br />

The <strong>VM</strong>FINS PRODLIST contains a list of<br />

Licensed Products on the installation tape.<br />

Notes:<br />

1. Licensed Product files will not be loaded by the <strong>VM</strong>FINS command at this time.<br />

2. If you are installing one or more Licensed Products using SFS directories, you should review the<br />

in<strong>format</strong>ion in Chapter 4.3.4.3, “Shared File System (SFS) Considerations” on page 33 before you<br />

continue with this step.<br />

3. If you change the PPF name, a default user ID, or other parameters associated with a given Licensed<br />

Product via a PPF override, you will need to use your changed values instead of those indicated<br />

(when appropriate), throughout the remainder of the installation process for that Licensed Product.<br />

For example, you will need to specify your PPF override file name instead of the name of the PPF file<br />

provided on the tape for certain <strong>VM</strong>SES/E commands.<br />

4. If you are not familiar with creating PPF overrides using <strong>VM</strong>FINS, you should review the 'Using the<br />

Make Override Panel' section in the chapter entitled “Using the <strong>VM</strong>FINS EXEC” of z/<strong>VM</strong> <strong>VM</strong>SES/E<br />

Introduction and Reference before you continue.<br />
