is the IP address (url)<br />

of the z/<strong>VM</strong> System<br />

User: Userid_on_z<strong>VM</strong> System<br />

Password: Password_for_Userid<br />

ftp> CD mini_disk_SFS_dir<br />

ftp> BINARY<br />

ftp> PUT pc_file zvm_file<br />

ftp> QUIT<br />

===> In response to the prompt<br />

'User:' enter the name of<br />

the ID on the z/<strong>VM</strong> System<br />

that will be utilized<br />

for the FTP (e.g. MAINT)<br />

===> In response to the prompt<br />

'Password:' enter the<br />

password for the ID on<br />

the z/<strong>VM</strong> System.<br />

===> In response to the prompt<br />

'ftp>' enter the minidisk<br />

or the SFS Directory that<br />

will be utilized to store<br />

the Enabling Aid files.<br />

- The minidisk must be<br />

specified as<br />

'userid.minidisk'<br />

(e.g. MAINT.2C2)<br />

- The SFS Directory<br />

must be specified as<br />

a standard z/<strong>VM</strong> SFS<br />

Directory name (e.g.<br />

SYSPOOL:MAINT.2C2.)<br />

===> In response to the prompt<br />

'ftp>' specify 'binary'<br />

transmission mode<br />

===> In response to the prompt<br />

'ftp>' enter the name of<br />

the PC file (pc_file) and<br />

the name of the z/<strong>VM</strong> file<br />

(zvm_file). The z/<strong>VM</strong><br />

file must be in the <strong>format</strong><br />

'file_name.file_type'<br />

(e.g. ENABLE.<strong>VM</strong>ARC)<br />

'ftp>' enter 'quit' to<br />

exit FTP.<br />
