on System z, V4.3<br />
<strong>IBM</strong> Systems Director Active Energy Manager, V4.3 is a plug-in (extension) to <strong>IBM</strong> Systems Director that<br />
is designed to provide energy consumption management across multiple <strong>IBM</strong> and non-<strong>IBM</strong> platforms and<br />
operating systems. AEM provides a single view of actual energy consumption and thermal levels in your<br />
IT infrastructure which allows for the efficient allocation, matching and capping of energy resources<br />
throughout your IT environment.<br />
AEM, V4.3 offers improved integration with facility providers and has been enhanced to include the ability<br />
for AEM energy monitoring functions to operate with <strong>IBM</strong> System z10 servers with updated firmware<br />
levels.<br />
For z/<strong>VM</strong>, AEM operates in a Linux server as a guest of the z/<strong>VM</strong> hypervisor.<br />
AEM, V4.3 is available as a download through <strong>IBM</strong>'s Systems Director Downloads webpage. AEM is not<br />
available through <strong>IBM</strong>'s Service Delivery Offering (SDO).<br />
