10. <strong>Police</strong> Stations to be Always Open: A <strong>Police</strong> Station shall always be open<br />

for those who need police services and shall always be alert for the purpose of<br />

rendering service to the public and for the performance of any police duty.<br />

11. Special <strong>Police</strong> Station:<br />

1. In addition to the <strong>Police</strong> Stations notified for any area under section 5 above,<br />

Government may establish Special <strong>Police</strong> Stations, for any particular period in any area<br />

or for any particular purpose in any area or for enforcement of any particular law or<br />

laws in any area.<br />

2. Such Special <strong>Police</strong> Stations shall have the same status in law as <strong>Police</strong> Stations<br />

established under section 5 and shall be notified similarly specifying the premises and<br />

area and the scope of jurisdiction.<br />

3. Nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the Government from<br />

establishing a Special <strong>Police</strong> Station in a mobile vehicle or in any temporary office.<br />

4. The fact that a Special <strong>Police</strong> Station has been established will not render any<br />

action taken by a regular <strong>Police</strong> Station null and void on the ground that it was a<br />

matter which could have been entrusted with the Special <strong>Police</strong> Station.<br />

5. Special <strong>Police</strong> Stations will be so named as to make the special purpose and<br />

special nature self-evident.<br />

6. The State <strong>Police</strong> Chief may, by special order, exempt the Station House Officer<br />

of a Special <strong>Police</strong> Station from any responsibility normally associated with a <strong>Police</strong><br />

Station and may also entrust additional or special responsibilities not normally assigned<br />

to a <strong>Police</strong> Station.<br />

12. <strong>Police</strong> Station Diary: Every <strong>Police</strong> Station shall keep a general diary in<br />

such form as shall, from time to time, be prescribed by the Government and record<br />

therein all complaints and charges preferred, the names of the complaints and the<br />

names of persons, if any, against whom complaints are made, the names of all<br />

persons arrested, the offences charged against them, the weapons or property that<br />

may have been taken from their possession or otherwise and the names of witnesses<br />

who may have been examined.
