Service Champion of the Year Announced<br />

Breanna Andrews, lead nuclear medicine technologist<br />

was recognized as the Service Champion of the Year at<br />

the 2010 Service Awards Banquet on May 18 at the Memorial<br />

Building.<br />

More than 280 employees were recognized for giving<br />

a total of 3,390 years of service to the medical center<br />

at the fifty-third annual banquet. Photos of employees receiving<br />

five through forty year pins will be featured in the<br />

June issue of The VitaLink.<br />

MRMC Hosts Conferences<br />

The Middle Tennessee Mammography Society held its spring seminar<br />

at the medical center on April 24. More than 80 mammography technologists<br />

attended the event.<br />

Featured speakers included Dr.<br />

Gary Podgorski, a specialist in radiology<br />

on the medical staff at MRMC, and<br />

Dana Salters, women’s center coordinator.<br />

<strong>Maury</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> also hosted the Tennessee Association of Cardiovascular<br />

and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (TACVPR) spring seminar on<br />

April 27. Approximately 60 cardiovascular and pulmonary professionals<br />

from throughout the state attended the conference.<br />

Drs. Ali Fathi and Kevin Maquiling, specialists in cardiology on the<br />

medical staff, were two of the guest speakers at the event. Pictured at left<br />

MRMC Serves Community<br />

<strong>Maury</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> Medical Center had 13 booths<br />

at the 2010 Senior Expo on May 19 at the Columbia<br />

Mall. More than 500 community members took<br />

advantage of the free blood pressure, skin cancer,<br />

oxygen saturation readings, and peripheral vascular<br />

screenings as well as health information offered<br />

by the medical center.<br />

More than 130 blood pressures were taken.<br />
