Arriving early to
a venue in Atlanta,
Georgia hosting a
local showcase. I
noticed a smiling
tall slender brother
working the
room introducing
himself as well as
partying having a
good time.
Once the showcase
started he
moved closer to the
stage to get a better
view I thought
but later learned
he moved closer to
be sure the artist
on the stage saw
at least one person
vibin to their music
and partying with
them.
I thought he was
a super fan who
loved Indie music
until he took the
stage to perform
a couple of tracks
off his latest mixtape,TBA.
Houston, Texas
native Tim Woods
approached the mic
as if he was greeting
an old friend.
Then welcomed
the crowd as if
they were a room
of old friends. He
possessed an easy
harmonic flow
that entranced the
crowd stirring
them into a sweaty
frenzy.
Tim Woods
commanded the
stage with a slow
Texas ease when
he performed the
crowd favorite
“Get It On The
Low.” His comfort
continued to grow
as he closed out
the set by having
the crowd chant
his lyrics “Who
is you night everyday
you better
thank God!”
His set was both
refreshing and
entertaining.
I was very
pleased with his
set and would
definitely catch
him anytime he
comes in town.
I believe Tim
Woods has something
to offer the
game. Which
makes him an
artist to keep an
eye on and an ear
to. I strongly encourage
you to do
yourself a favor
