5.2.1 Commands from system to terminal<br />

5.2.1.1 General format and definitions of elements<br />

The general format for messages within the voice sets and consoles allocation block in the direction system<br />

to terminal shall be as shown in Figure 33/MTS<strong>22</strong>-C.<br />

Voice sets and consoles general command<br />

Note - The value of n is a function of the specific message type. Refer to the detailed descriptions<br />

following.<br />

The SAB (Special Attribute Byte) octet can have the following types:<br />

1) BCCB = Buffer / Cursor Control Byte<br />

2) SBDB = Source Buffer / Destination Buffer<br />

3) NPBN = Number of Prompts / Buffer Number<br />

4) PPBN = Prompt Position / Buffer Number<br />

5) CRSR = Circle Rate / Square Rate<br />

6) CSRN = Circle / Square Rate Number<br />

7) HCB = Hardware Control Byte<br />

8) CPB = Cadence Pattern Byte<br />

Note -<br />

Not all commands require a SAB octet.<br />

Detailed definitions of the above SAB octet types are given in §§ 5.2.1.1.1 to 5.2.1.1.8.<br />
