discontinues the program any time after two<br />

weeks from the beginning <strong>of</strong> the term. Refunds are<br />

determined based on the <strong>of</strong>ficial beginning <strong>of</strong> the<br />

term as stated by the program and the last day <strong>of</strong><br />

attendance <strong>of</strong> the student. The program shall mail<br />

all refunds due within sixty (60) days following the<br />

student’s drop date. No refunds will be made for<br />

purchased books, fees or supplies.<br />

Withdrawals<br />

A student who withdraws or is dismissed from<br />

the program has no obligations for further tuition<br />

payments to <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>West</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Radiologic</strong> <strong>Technology</strong>, however transcripts will not be<br />

released for any term completed until tuition for that<br />

term is paid.<br />

A student who withdraws or is dismissed should be<br />

aware he or she may have to repay all or a portion <strong>of</strong><br />

any outside financial aid he or she may have received.<br />

While the program does not provide any direct<br />

Federal or State financial aid to a student enrolled<br />

in the program, the student who receives Federal<br />

or State financial aid as a result <strong>of</strong> co-enrollment<br />

with another academic institution will be subject<br />

to the student refund procedure requirements <strong>of</strong><br />

the Higher Education Reauthorization Act <strong>of</strong> 1998.<br />

Details regarding this requirement are available at<br />

the University <strong>of</strong> Nebraska-Kearney, Chadron State<br />

College, or <strong>West</strong>ern Nebraska Community College<br />

Financial Aid Offices.<br />

A student returning to the program after a medical<br />

or pregnancy leave will pay tuition only for the<br />

portion <strong>of</strong> the program where tuition has not been<br />

previously collected during the two years <strong>of</strong> the<br />

program.<br />

Record Keeping<br />

The program will maintain a financial record <strong>of</strong><br />

expenses and payments made to <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>West</strong><br />

<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiologic</strong> <strong>Technology</strong><br />

incurred by each student while enrolled in the<br />

program. This record will remain in the student’s<br />

file for a minimum <strong>of</strong> 5 years after graduation or<br />

leaving the Program.<br />

Financial Aid<br />

The program does not actually administer financial<br />

aid to student but rather relies on the academic<br />

institution where the student is co-registered to<br />

assure the student qualifies for federal financial<br />

aid. The program has an obligation to be in<br />

compliance with Federal and State Financial Aid<br />

requirements to remain eligible for student to<br />

receive financial aid while in the program.<br />

<strong>Regional</strong> <strong>West</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiologic</strong><br />

<strong>Technology</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers federal financial assistance only<br />

through consortium agreements with Chadron State<br />

College, the University <strong>of</strong> Nebraska-Kearney, and<br />

<strong>West</strong>ern Nebraska Community College.<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Nebraska-Kearney (UNK) or Chadron<br />

State College (CSC) <strong>of</strong>fers federal and state<br />

financial aid to students in the program who are<br />

pursuing a bachelor’s degree. <strong>West</strong>ern Nebraska<br />

Community College (WNCC) <strong>of</strong>fers federal and<br />

state financial aid to students in the Program who<br />

are pursuing an associate’s degree with WNCC.<br />

The program has met the requirements for the<br />

G.I. Bill that provides education benefits to<br />

veterans and their dependents.<br />

paperwork, the student should contact the student’s<br />

personal banking institution or the college financial<br />

aid <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
