The program has its own separate library at St. Mary Plaza. The Lockwood Memorial Library is located on<br />

the first floor <strong>of</strong> St. Mary Plaza.<br />

Lockers<br />

Students have lockers available in the <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>West</strong> Imaging Services Department located in the hospital and<br />

in St. Mary Plaza for didactic classes. Students are required to clean out assigned lockers upon termination or<br />

graduation from the program.<br />

Mail System<br />

Mail and notices to the student will be placed in the student’s mailbox within the Imaging Services Department<br />

at the main hospital. The medical center maintains a mailroom on the ground floor <strong>of</strong> the hospital. The Imaging<br />

Services Department RIS system has a separate e-mail service for radiology employees and students that is used for<br />

electronic notices and information. It is essential that all students examine<br />

their mailbox and department e-mail daily to keep up-to-date on activities for the school and department.<br />

Lounges<br />

Several lounges are available at the main building at <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>West</strong>. Male and female lounges are located<br />

on the ground floor <strong>of</strong> the main hospital. The Nebraska Room, an employee lounge located on the first floor<br />

<strong>of</strong> the hospital near the meeting rooms, has a television. The Imaging Services break rooms in the Imaging<br />

Services Department and St. Mary Plaza are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and c<strong>of</strong>feepot.<br />

Duplicating Services<br />

Paper copies related to the educational process may be made on the copy machine in the Imaging<br />

Services Department or in the school at St. Mary Plaza. Large numbers <strong>of</strong> copies or materials unrelated<br />

to the educational process may be ordered through the print shop for a charge.<br />

Notary Public Service<br />

A notary public <strong>of</strong>ficer, authorized by law to certify documents, take affidavits, and administer oaths is<br />

available. For a list <strong>of</strong> notary publics, contact the program director.<br />

Parking<br />

Students are required to obtain and display a parking sticker on their vehicles. Students are required to<br />

park in the designated parking areas identified for students and employees during clinical and didactic<br />

hours. Parking violations will result in corrective action.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Societies<br />

Several pr<strong>of</strong>essional societies allow for student membership. The Nebraska Society <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiologic</strong><br />

Technologists (NSRT) is the statewide pr<strong>of</strong>essional organization for radiologic technologists and<br />

students. Two major meetings and two teleconference meetings are <strong>of</strong>fered each year. Membership in the<br />

NSRT provides for attendance to these programs at a reduced rate. Membership dues for students are<br />

$30 for two years. Students, as part <strong>of</strong> a class assignment, will be required to attend a certain number<br />
