6.1.9 17MHz Vectoring
Requirement
ND1031 [11] Reference : 5.2.4.
Alien crosstalk, if not intelligently managed, can have negative effects on groups of vectored
VDSL2 lines. To prevent alien interference into vector groups, VDSL2 equipment that the CP
provider connects to the VDSL2-UNI, shall fully support vectoring as described in G.993.5.
Test
Compliance shall be determined by the test specified in Annex A.3.
6.1.10 Virtual Noise
Requirement

Test
Compliance shall be determined by tests defined in TR-115 [5] section 5.9, “Virtual Noise Test”.
6.1.11 Monitoring Diagnostics and Test
Requirement
ND1031 [11] Reference : 5.2.6.
Parameters specified in G997.1 [10] and G993.2 [3] for reporting inventory information, and
performance and operational monitoring information shall be supported by the CPE modem. To
support remote diagnostics and test for lines, loop diagnostics specified in G993.2 [3] and G997.1
[10] shall be supported. Diagnostics shall meet the accuracy requirements described in TR-138
[18].
Parameter requirements are specified in the ANO-specific annexes to this document.

6.2 Ethernet OAM
Requirement
ND1031 [11] Reference : 5.3.
The wires-only ALA VDSL2 UNI shall be capable of transporting Ethernet OAM as specified in the
NICC Ethernet ALA Service Definition [15]. In order to be able to use OAM functionality across the
UNI, the CPE modem needs to support the OAM functionality requirements of section 7.3.1 in
Broadband Forum TR-101 [19].
