Welcome to <strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>Springs</strong>!<br />
The Lions Club of <strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>Springs</strong> & District is<br />
now holding <strong>the</strong> "Welcome to new Resident's"<br />
program previously run by Delfin <strong>Caroline</strong><br />
<strong>Springs</strong>. This is an opportunity to provide new<br />
residents with information about local facilities &<br />
to meet a few o<strong>the</strong>r residents. Moving into a new<br />
community should be as easy and as trouble-free<br />
as possible.<br />
The Resident Welcome Program includes:<br />
* Interaction with long term residents eager to<br />
share a wealth of knowledge and information<br />
regarding <strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>Springs</strong> and surrounds.<br />
* A welcome to new residents and businesses<br />
alike and discussion regarding <strong>the</strong>ir needs and<br />
expectations in our community.<br />
* Regular Welcome and Information Nights for<br />
new residents to <strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>Springs</strong>. The nights<br />
also provide residents with an update on what<br />
is happening in <strong>the</strong>ir local community, gives new<br />
residents an opportunity to meet <strong>the</strong>ir new<br />
neighbours.<br />
* A Green Pass discount card that provides<br />
access to wholesale plants and garden<br />
products; and a range of special introductory<br />
offers and discounts from local businesses.<br />
* A House warming gift provided by Delfin.<br />
It's never too late to be made Welcome so if<br />
you've got caught up unpacking please book in<br />
for <strong>the</strong> next event that suits. The next welcome<br />
night will be on 26th <strong>October</strong> 7:30pm til 8:30pm.<br />

Catch on to <strong>the</strong> 2011 Fishing Expo<br />
Get out your rod and reel and get fishing at <strong>the</strong> 2011 Fishing<br />
Expo from 11am – 2pm on Sunday 16 <strong>October</strong> 2011.<br />
With thousands of trout in Navan Park Lake, <strong>the</strong>re is plenty of<br />
fun for all fishing enthusiasts. When you want to take a break<br />
from fishing you will find lots of activities for <strong>the</strong> whole family<br />
including roving entertainment, 'Fla<strong>the</strong>ad Fred's Fun Fishing<br />
Show', children's activities, fishing information, giveaways and<br />
lots more.<br />
Melton Shire Council Mayor, Cr Justin Mammarella said <strong>the</strong><br />
2011 Fishing Expo is shaping up to be a fantastic day for all <strong>the</strong><br />
family.<br />
“The Fishing Expo is a really nice family day; I encourage<br />
everyone to go along and enjoy <strong>the</strong> activities at Navan Park<br />
Lake,” <strong>the</strong> Mayor said.<br />
There is no need to register and <strong>the</strong> first 300 children to arrive<br />
receive a free gift including bait and a complimentary BBQ<br />
voucher.<br />
Please bring along your own rod, reel and tackle and wear<br />
suitable clothing and footwear. You'll find Navan Park on <strong>the</strong><br />
corner of Centenary Avenue and Coburns Road, West Melton.<br />
The 2011 Fishing Expo is proudly hosted by <strong>the</strong><br />
Didyabringyarodalong Angling Club toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>the</strong> Melton<br />
Shire Council and is also supported by <strong>the</strong> Department of<br />
Primary Industries (Fisheries).<br />
