Welcome to Caroline Springs!
The Lions Club of Caroline Springs & District is
now holding the "Welcome to new Resident's"
program previously run by Delfin Caroline
Springs. This is an opportunity to provide new
residents with information about local facilities &
to meet a few other residents. Moving into a new
community should be as easy and as trouble-free
as possible.
The Resident Welcome Program includes:
* Interaction with long term residents eager to
share a wealth of knowledge and information
regarding Caroline Springs and surrounds.
* A welcome to new residents and businesses
alike and discussion regarding their needs and
expectations in our community.
* Regular Welcome and Information Nights for
new residents to Caroline Springs. The nights
also provide residents with an update on what
is happening in their local community, gives new
residents an opportunity to meet their new
neighbours.
* A Green Pass discount card that provides
access to wholesale plants and garden
products; and a range of special introductory
offers and discounts from local businesses.
* A House warming gift provided by Delfin.
It's never too late to be made Welcome so if
you've got caught up unpacking please book in
for the next event that suits. The next welcome
night will be on 26th October 7:30pm til 8:30pm.

Catch on to the 2011 Fishing Expo
Get out your rod and reel and get fishing at the 2011 Fishing
Expo from 11am – 2pm on Sunday 16 October 2011.
With thousands of trout in Navan Park Lake, there is plenty of
fun for all fishing enthusiasts. When you want to take a break
from fishing you will find lots of activities for the whole family
including roving entertainment, 'Flathead Fred's Fun Fishing
Show', children's activities, fishing information, giveaways and
lots more.
Melton Shire Council Mayor, Cr Justin Mammarella said the
2011 Fishing Expo is shaping up to be a fantastic day for all the
family.
“The Fishing Expo is a really nice family day; I encourage
everyone to go along and enjoy the activities at Navan Park
Lake,” the Mayor said.
There is no need to register and the first 300 children to arrive
receive a free gift including bait and a complimentary BBQ
voucher.
Please bring along your own rod, reel and tackle and wear
suitable clothing and footwear. You'll find Navan Park on the
corner of Centenary Avenue and Coburns Road, West Melton.
The 2011 Fishing Expo is proudly hosted by the
Didyabringyarodalong Angling Club together with the Melton
Shire Council and is also supported by the Department of
Primary Industries (Fisheries).
