Welcome to the October Edition of
the Caroline Springs Community
Update.
It is great to see that the weather is
finally warming up, and with it
comes more opportunities to
participate in some activities with
family and friends. Perhaps a bit of
spring cleaning of the home!
Donʼt forget that residents now
have the option of getting there
unwanted goods picked up directly

from their home or office via
councilʼs hard waste collection
service. Simply call the council
and have them organise a time for
your unwanted goods to be picked
up!
Most recently, I attended a launch
for the ʻUdderly Artʼ project, at the
Caroline Springs Library, where
very impressive life sized cows
were artistically painted in a
collaboration between local artist
Blair Angelo and people with
disabilities, their siblings and
support staff from four local
service providers.
Their willingness to contribute and
their enthusiasm have made the
project a great success. The
artwork will be installed at Morton
Homestead in Taylors Hill, which
will provide the perfect backdrop
with its green open space and
abundance of trees.
Council has started a Community
Languages Collection to match
the growth of our culturally and
linguistically diverse community.
The collection is located at the
Caroline Springs library and
includes DVDs, magazines and
newspapers in Arabic, Chinese,
Hindi, Maltese, Sinhalese,
Spanish and Vietnamese with
Macedonian material to come.

The Point Village Pedestrian
Bridge set to open
1-7 Caroline Springs Bvd

The pedestrian bridge linking The Point Village
to The Esplanade Village was craned into
place on Wednesday 21st September. Final
touches to the bridge and connecting paths are
expected to be completed by the end of
September.

The bridge is expected to be open to the public
in the first week of October. It will also connect
the new fitness equipment circuit based along
Kororoit Approach and Seddon Place.
