Lakeside Live 2012 –
Applications Open
Melton Shire Council is calling for expressions of interest to
participate in the 2012 Lakeside Live Festival.
Lakeside Live will be held on Saturday 21 January 2012 at
the CS Square Car Park on Lake Street, Caroline Springs.
The event will include carnival rides, entertainment and
activities, community stalls and a business expo which will all
run from 4pm through until 10pm. The event will culminate in
a fabulous fireworks display at approximately 9.30pm.
Applications are now being accepted for community stalls and
food vendors.
Community stall applications will be accepted from community
groups only to promote their services or sell quality new items
such as plants, clothing, leather goods, pottery and ceramics,
home wares, giftware and contemporary art and craft items.
The sale of second hand goods is not permitted.
Local businesses will also be invited to participate in the new
and exciting Small Business Expo. Visitors to the event will
be able to interact with local businesses that will showcase
their exciting and innovative products and services.
Applications will open to local businesses soon.
Melton Shire Council Mayor, Cr Justin Mammarella JP, said
the community stalls would provide an opportunity for the
community to browse local groupsʼ services with the
opportunity to purchase a range of quality goods whilst
enjoying the atmosphere of Lakeside Live.
“Lakeside Live is one of Councilʼs major events and always
proves extremely popular with families,” the Mayor said.

“I encourage all community groups to lodge an application to
operate a community stall which will assist in promoting the
wonderful work they do in our community,” he said.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday 28 October 2011.
