2.3.3. Eligibility Criteria Based Upon Work, Job Training or Educational<br />

Program<br />

Reminder – Lead Agencies have the flexibility to include any workrelated<br />

activities in its definition of working including periods of job<br />

search <strong>and</strong> travel time. (§§98.16(f)(3), 98.20(b))<br />

• working – Section 8.15.2.7 (DD) of the <strong>Child</strong> <strong>Care</strong> Assistance requirements defines<br />

working as “employment of any type, including self-employment. For TANF recipients,<br />

this includes work experience <strong>and</strong>/or community service or any other activity that meets<br />

the TANF work activity requirements.” The Department will reimburse for care provided<br />

for as little as an average of 5 or less hours per week per month.<br />
