PERFORMER
APOSTOLOS FRAGKOS
He was born in Thessaloniki. He is a
schoolteacher and performer. He attended
several acting, physical, speech and dance
seminars by P.Zivanos, M.Gementzaki,
M.Marmarinos, A.Brouskou, R.Carreri (ODIN
Theatre), N.Milivoyevic etc.
As an actor he participated in contemporary
theatre and dance performances: Dans la
solitude des champs de cotton, B.M.Coltes,
Orestes, Evripides, Please kill me, a live art
performance etc. He, also, participated in
several dance performances of QuasiStellar:
Icon Skin, Arena Metropolity, Male Study, a
solo on tour for International Theatre festivals,
such as Mess Festival, Sarajevo, Seognam
Festival,Seoul, Callejero Festival, Bogotá etc,
Paralympics Ceremony, Athens 2004, Trim the
edges with lace-a fashion show as a dancer
and a co-director. He worked on dramaturgy in
Human female study, by Ap.Papadamaki, Mind
the gap, by I.Parali amd in Proun as a director
too, etc.
electronic Music COMPOSER and Sound Engineer
stavros gasparatos
Stavros Gasparatos was born in Patras in
1975. He has studied classical and jazz music
studies at the “Fillipos Nakas” conservatory and
from 2000 he owns his professional recording
studio. He has also studied mechanical
engineering at Patras technological university
and at the same time he has followed sound
engineering seminars. In 1998 he founded with
Alexandros Tsilfidis the music group “gyro
gyro” with which he released three albums
(collaborating with musicians like B.L.Raininger,
N Kypourgos) . During the last years he gave
many live concerts, worked in many audiovisual
installations, and wrote music for cinema
and theatre, working with many of the biggest
companies and directors in Greece.
He has collaborated with Amore Theatre, Roes
Theatre, Theatre of Patras, Neos Kosmos
Theatre, Thesseum Theatre, Amfi-theatro,
Politia, Theatro Technis, Festival of Athens and
Festival of Patras.
As a composer he wrote music for the following
National Theatre productions Baal, B. Brecht,
direction Y. Paraskevopoulos, Trust, direction D.
Tibilis, Versus, E. Triantafyllopoulou, Constant
Lagment, direction T. Tzamargias, Tartoufe,
Moliere, direction L. Meleme, Plasticine,
direction K. Evaggelatou, 10 commandments,
direction K. Arvanitakis, S. Panouryios, K.
Evaggelatou, T. Abazis, D. Xronopoulos.
He has composed music for all amorphy.org
productions, Psycho cycle, Theatro Simio, Dock
11 Berlin, Invisible cities, Neos Kosmos Theatre,
Biennale Naples 2005, 1.170.694, video dance
performance.
In 2005-2006 he was working as a composer
on a live - telematic performance ‘See you in
Walhalla’ that was the outcome of the i–MAP
project (Integration of Media And Performance)
sponsored by European Union ‘Culture 2000’
program. See you in Walhalla premiered
simultaneously in September 2006, at IME
Performing Arts Center in Athens, De Waag
at Amsterdam and Red House for Culture and
Debate in Sofia.
In July 2007 a second phase of the project, ‘Fwd:
See you In Walhalla’, was presented during the
programming of the Athens Festival.

Lili Pezanou
She was born in Athens in 1956. Studied
Architecture in the National Technical University
between 1974-1980. She worked as an architect.
In collaboration with governmental theatres
and independent ensembles she has designed
the stage for performances of ancient classic
writers, classic repertory texts, poetic texts,
modern play writing, lyric theatre and dance.
Furthermore, she has designed the set and
the costumes for films and TV. She has, also,
been a member of the creative team and a
stage designer for the Opening and Closing
Ceremonies for the Olympic Games ATHENS
2004. She has designed theatre spaces.
She edited and designed picture galleries,
in collaboration with Museums and private
Galleries, as well as book publications.
VIDEO SYSTEM DESIGN
stathis chrisidis
Born in Thessaloniki on 1975. Studied Applied
Information technology and Mathematics in
Scotland. His field of study was the automatic
image and the audiovisual machines. The
last few years he has been involved in the
real time image composition. Apart from
live performances his interest extended
at installations in urban environments.
He undertakes the technical planning and
implementation of audiovisual installations of
artistic and commercial projects on the behalf
of third party.
VIDEO SYSTEM CONSULTANT
Panayiotis Tsagkarakis
He studied Audio Technology and Acoustics
at the University of Salford, UK. He worked
as an Environmental Health Officer at the
department of Noise Pollution (London Borough
Of Newham) and as Acoustics Engineer at the
Nokia Mobile Phones R&D Center (Finland).
When he returned to Greece, he collaborated
with the Centre of Contemporary Musical
Research for the composition and production
of electroacustic musical pieces. In June 2006
it completed the Postgraduate title “Arts and
Technologies of Sound” in the Ionian University
(Corfu, Greece), with specialisation in the field
of Interactive Environments. Founding member
of Medea Electronique team, which presented
first mix media performance “Project 1” staged
in the Benaki Museum of Modern Art in Athens,
Greece, the Ionian Academy in Corfu, Greece and
the NWEAMO festival in San Diego, USA, during
Spring, Summer and Fall 2007 respectively

Maria Athanasopoulou
Maria was born in Patra in 1968. She studied still
photography at the Focus School of Photography
in Athens and attended the seminars of Platon
Rivelis at the PhotoCircle.
Since 1992 she has worked as an assistant
operator and camera operator in various film
and TV productions (feature and short films,
documentaries, commercials and TV series).
Since 2000 she has worked as a lighting
designer for theatre and dance performances
while experimenting in the video art creations.
In 2003, she received the Audience Award at the
Video Dance Festival in Athens for Requiem 2,
a video artwork produced by Sinequanon Dance
Co. for the performance
I Cannot Fit Anywhere.

Eugenia Tzirtzilaki
Eugenia Tzirtzilaki is a theater director,
translator and performer. She studied
photography and journalism and later on
acting at the D. Fotiades Drama School
in Athens, and stage directing at the City
University of New York with a scholarship by the
Onassis Foundation and P.E.O. International.
Performances she has directed have been
presented in Cyprus, the USA, Denmark, Poland
and Greece, while plays she’s written have been
staged in New York, Warsaw and Melbourne.
Her films have been part of several international
festivals, and have been used at the Edinburgh
Fringe 2005 as a stage installation. In 2003
she was awarded the «Zoel Zwick Award for
Outstanding Contribution to Theater,» while she
is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab
since 2004. She works and lives in Greece since
2005.

Vassiliki Pappi was born in Athens in 1968. She
studied english literature and comparative
education. She has taught english in Greece
and greek as a foreign language in Spain and
she works as a translator, a science editor and
a contributor to magazines. She is currently
undertaking a PhD in the Department of Political
Science and Public Administration at the
University of Athens.

Anna Nikolaou is born in Athens in 1979. She did
film studies at Paris8 Vincennes St- Denis. She
has worked on several cinema, documentary
and advertisement productions.

kostas gkikas
Kostas Gkikas was born in Athens in 1981. He
studied Photography at the Technical School of
Athens and also Products and Systems Design
at the University of the Aegean. Since 2006 he
has been a member of Antidot Design where he
works as an industrial designer and animator.
His fields of interest are cognitive science and
ergonomics.

leanda xavian
Leanda Xavian was born in Melbourne, Australia
in 1968. She trained at Portsmouth College
of Art & Design and Southampton University.
Leanda has been a practising graphic designer
for the past ten years and her clients include
Unilever, RIBA, the Mary Rose Trust, Pringle
Brandon Architects and ITV. After 18 years spent
living and working in London, she relocated to
Athens in May 2007 and is currently a member
of Antidot Design Studio.

lila sotiriou
Lila Sotiriou was born in Drama, Greece, in 1971.
She studied Sociology at the Pantio University
of Athens and Photography at the International
Center of Photography in New York. She
graduated from the School of Fine Arts in
Athens, [Master degree in «Digital Arts»].
She has been awarded (together with Maria
Athanasopoulou) at the 4th INTERNATIONAL
VIDEO DANCE FESTIVAL in Athens (2003)
for their video “Requiem 2” (Super 8 film
– 6min), with the Fulbright Artist Grant (2000),
a distinction made by Jannis Kounellis for the
Biennale in Rome (1999), and with “one of the
best pictures of the year” at GRAPHIS ANNUAL
PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK in New York (1997).
She participated to group exhibitions: 9th
Biennale of European Young Artists (Rome
1999), Biennale of Greek Photography (Nice
1998), 10 years of Photography Circle (Athens
1998), Annual exhibition of the International
Centre of Photography (New York 1996). She
has been working as a freelance photographer
from 1996.
Today she is working on different projects
with dancers, actors and multimedia artists
(sinequanon dance co., amorphy.org, Dimitris
Papaioannou, etc.).

MANOLIS SARDIS has collaborated as a
production manager with the Ministry of
Education, the General Secretariat for Youth, the
National Opera of Greece, the Athens Festival,
the 2006 Patras Cultural Capital of Europe, the
Thessaloniki Film Festival, the Cultural Olympic
Games ATHENS 2004, the Municipal of Athens,
the Greek State School of Dance, Theatre of Arts
(Theatro Technis), Notos Theatre, THESEUM
ENSEMBLE-Michael Marmarinos, OCTANA
Dancetheatre-Konstantinos Rigos, Dancetheatre
Quasi Stellar-Apostolia Papadamaki, and
several others Theatre and dancetheatre
constitutions. In total, he has organized more
than ninety theatre productions, more than forty
dancetheatre performances as well as many
trips with performances in Greece and abroad.
Since 2003, he founded the PRO4 production
company.

nikos athanasopoulos
He studied Psychology and Management of
Human Resources. He has been a personnel
manager in grand industries and he changed
over to the team of roles’ distribution and
volunteers’ management for the Opening
and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic and
Paralympic Games in Athens. In 2006, he
founded the company Prologos Arts Marketing,
which collaborates with cultural institutions
such as ELLTHEA, the Athens Festival, the
School of Fine Arts and also, with significant
Greek artists.

He studied Marketing and Administration of
Enterprises in the Deree College.
After his graduation, he was included in the
team of roles’ distribution and management
of volunteers-performers for the Opening and
Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic Games
ATHENS 2004. Then, he worked in the Boussias
Communications as a person in charge of
subscriptions and congresses for the magazine
Marketing Week and netweek. In 2006, he
became a member of Prologos Arts Marketing
team.
