26 May 2010 Bournemouth’s Bigger Picture
Pupils from Moordown St John’s, Muscliff, St Marks and St Michaels Primary Schools in
Bournemouth are working together to create a ‘living’ picture to celebrate Bournemouth’s
Bicentenary.
The picture depicting the unique landscape of
Bournemouth incorporating, the river Bourne, and our
golden beaches and sea, will also feature pine trees
and some of Bournemouth’s iconic buildings and
landmarks such as the balloon located in
Bournemouth Square. Reception to Year 6 children
are creating hats and costumes that will interpret
these elements of the landscape. They will also
incorporate using song and dance in a performance,
with a finale uniting the children to become a
contemporary landscape of Bournemouth.
The ‘living’ picture will be photographed from the air and made into a commemorative
postcard of the occasion. There is a unique opportunity for local businesses to get involved
in the project through sponsorship support. This ambitious project coordinated by ‘Room
13 Xtreme Arts Studio’ and choreographed by ‘Dance for All’ will be celebrated in style on
26 May at AFC Bournemouth.

27 May 2010 Jack Maguire’s 60 th Birthday!
On Thursday 27 May Jack Maguire will star in his own birthday celebrations at 7.30pm at the St.
Clements church. Jack will perform his personal violin favourites: Paganini, Kreisler, Sarasate
Carmen Fantasy, Shindlers List, Bartok Duos and Tango. This is event is sponsored by Poole Audi
