Bournebeat Hotel Exhibition
The Bournebeat Hotel on 12 Priory Road is holding an exhibition throughout the course of
2010 from 9.30am – 11.30pm every day. The exhibition will cover 50-60 years of
contemporary music history relating to Bournemouth concerts and top venues.
01 Aug 2010 The 2010 Thai Summer Festival
Now established as the most prestigious Thai fair in the UK, make sure you don’t miss out
on the Bournemouth Thai Language and Culture School’s Summer Fair on 1 st August at King’s
Park. From 10am – 6pm visitors can witness a display of Classical Thai dancing and musical
performances, Muay Thai (Thai boxing), fruit carvings, traditional Thai massage, activities
for children and various stalls. There will also be an assortment of delicacies from London
and South England’s best Thai eateries and a bar garden selling traditional Thai beers.
Admission fee is £3.00 for adults, £1.00 for children, with under-five’s free. The proceeds
of the admission charges will go to the Bournemouth Thai Language and Culture School.

The week commencing the 2 August will see Bournemouth Carnival Week return for an action
packed 7 days. Bournemouth Carnival Week was originally known as Bournemouth Regatta week
and has been operating since the 1800s. Carnival activities include: the Carnival Queen, Prince
Consort, Princess and Page Boy competition; sand building contests; duck racing; musical
displays; beach quizzes; chalk drawing contests; dance shows; teddy bear’s picnic; bug hunting
and decorating boats.
