iva's 90th annual meeting was held according
to tradition in the Stockholm Concert Hall and
was followed by a banquet in Stockholm City
Hall. See who was there on pages 47–50.
On 29 September energy
crossroads had its
concluding conference in
which the five directions
were presented. The goal
was to lay the foundations
for a long-term energy
policy through a common
knowledge base and

Presidency – was it a
success? This was the theme
of the business executives
council's annual meeting
on 11 November. The
purpose was to discuss
Sweden's EU Presidency.

healthy successful companies
concluded with a symposium on
10 November. The project, which
ran between 2006 and 2009,
gathered a wealth of experience
that forms the basis for a number
of conclusions on value-generating
personnel development.

In December it was time for
the kick-off of iva's service
initiative – a network
within IVA focusing on the
service sector and its
specific requirements. The
main initiator is IVA's
Business Executive's
