Rarely does one have the opportunity to obtain a unique piece of
history. This is one of those times.

Chateau d’Yquem is surely the most famous white wine in the world, and is
greatly sought after, especially in its greatest vintages. It’s ownership dates back over 400
years and was a favorite of America’s first connoisseur, founding father, Thomas
Jefferson, an ardent Bordeaux admirer who declared “D’Yquem” the best Sauternes.
D’Yquem has traditionally been in 375 ml, 750 ml, 1.5 ml, 3.0 liter, and most
recently in 6.0 liter format. The first vintage to be bottled in 6.0L was the 1982.
However, because of the fabulous quality of the 2005, the Chateau has decided to produce
a very limited number of 15.0L bottles called Nebuchednezzar, named after the
king of Babylon. This is truly an historic event as the chateau may never bottle in this
size again.
