17. An agreement between the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-Saratoga <strong>BOCES</strong> and<br />
Peaceful Acres Horses, Inc., 3740 Rynex Corners Road, Pattersonville, New York<br />
12137. Peaceful Acres will provide Equine Guided Experiential Learning as a<br />
development course to students enrolled in the Rotterdam Academy I. The course will<br />
consist of six (6) weekly classes in the fall of 2011 and another six (6) weeks in the<br />
spring of 2012. The cost is $3,600 for each session. (2012-073-SpE)<br />
18. An agreement between the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-Saratoga <strong>BOCES</strong> and<br />
Sally’s Streetside Cafe, 158 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, New York 12302. The Cafe<br />
will provide work experience opportunities for <strong>BOCES</strong> students enrolled in the<br />
Comprehensive Developmental Skills Program (CDS). The Facility will provide<br />
orientation for <strong>BOCES</strong> students and staff in the Program in order to acquaint them<br />
with the work environment and with applicable policies. There are no fees involved.<br />
The contract period is October 24, 2011 through June 30, 2014. (2012-074-SpE)<br />
It was moved by Mrs. Surman and seconded by Mrs. Lenhardt to accept the Treasurer’s<br />
Report as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.<br />

Auditor Report as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.<br />

It was moved by Mr. Phelan and seconded by Mrs. Lenhardt to accept the following<br />
in accordance with Board Policy No. 6770. The motion passed unanimously<br />
GIFTS/DONATIONS<br />
Career and Technical Education<br />
- One (1) Rev Tech V-Twin engine, serial # 58504383 from Jeff Sorrell, 34 River Case<br />
Road, Rensselaer, New York 12144.<br />
This equipment will be used by the students in the Power Sports Equipment<br />
Program.<br />
- $17,000 for the purchase of a replacement bulldozer for the Heavy Equipment/<br />
Commercial Construction Program at the Schoharie Career and Technical School,<br />
under the terms and conditions of the Grant Expenditure Responsibility Agreement,<br />
donated from the Faith Takes Family Foundation.<br />
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-<br />
Saratoga <strong>BOCES</strong> finds the terms of the Grant Expenditure Responsibility Agreement<br />
to be acceptable and in accord with the purposes and goals of the <strong>BOCES</strong> to provide<br />
a bulldozer for educational purposes as part of the Heavy Equipment/Commercial<br />
Construction Program at the Schoharie CTE Center;<br />
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the President of the Albany-Schoharie-<br />
Schenectady-Saratoga <strong>BOCES</strong> Board of Education be authorized to execute said<br />
Grant Expenditure Responsibility Agreement; and<br />
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-<br />
Saratoga <strong>BOCES</strong> shall upon the receipt of said funds purchase a replacement<br />
bulldozer for the Heavy Equipment/Commercial Construction Program at the<br />
Schoharie CTE Center in accordance with the terms of said Grant Expenditure<br />
Responsibility Agreement.
