A Public Hearing was called to order at 6:28 p.m. President Bradt introduced Mr. Kevin Harren, Attorney, who<br />
explained that Policy 5300 - Code of Conduct states that a hearing is required in order to give the public an opportunity<br />
to comment. Mr. Harren also explained that the policy would be posted on the <strong>BOCES</strong> website and would be sent to the<br />
administrators of Career and Technical Education and Special Education to be disseminated. No one offered any<br />
comments and the hearing closed at 6:34 p.m.<br />

1. Permission for the Career and Technical Education Division to apply for a grant (Application)<br />
“Appalachian <strong>Region</strong>al Commission (ARC) C.N.A.” in the amount of<br />
approximately $300,000.00. The purpose of this grant is to provide training for<br />
adult students in Schoharie County to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA),<br />
Home Health Aide (HH) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA). In addition, there will<br />
be a component that offers GED and English Language Learners (ELL) opportunities<br />
for students.<br />
2. Permission for Management <strong>Service</strong>s to apply for a grant entitled “Early Childhood<br />
Advisory Council Communication Consultant” in the amount of $196,421. The<br />
purpose of the grant is for <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Region</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong>’ Communications <strong>Service</strong> to<br />
provide communications services for the New York State Office of Children and<br />
Family <strong>Service</strong>s’ Early Childhood Advisory Council. <strong>Capital</strong> <strong>Region</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> will<br />
write and implement a communications plan to help publicize the council and its<br />
mission. The grant period is October 1, 2011 through July 31, 2013.<br />

WHEREAS, said equipment, products or services are designed to work in a specific<br />
manner and<br />

by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Community (MSSC) grant originally approved as<br />
a grant on September 20, 2010. The split was agreed upon in lieu of the fact that WSWHE<br />

There are 22 participants; 4 in the Open Chair. There are 18 members 12 of whom are Teachers.<br />
It was moved by Mrs. Beloncik and seconded by Mrs. Lenhardt to approve the MOA<br />
between the Albany-Schoharie-Schenectady-Saratoga Board of Cooperative Educational<br />
<strong>Service</strong>s and the Program Associates Organization, clarifying Article VIII of the current<br />
collective bargaining agreement. The motion passed unanimously.<br />

It was moved by Mrs. Beloncik and seconded by Mrs. Lenhardt to adopt the proposed [Annual Professional<br />
Annual Professional Performance Review Plan (For Certain Classroom Teachers and Performance Review<br />
Building Principals of Schools in Which Such Teachers are Employed). The motion (APPR) Plan<br />
passed unanimously.<br />
It was moved by Mrs. Lenhardt and seconded by Mrs. Beloncik to approve an<br />

overnight field trip to Washington, DC to attend the Skills USA Conference -<br />
TECHNICAL<br />
Washington Leadership Training Institute event from September 17 through CONSIDERATION -<br />
September 21, 2011. Up to two (2) students and an adult chaperone will be attending. (Overnight Field Trip)<br />
This is a required event for the State Officers and a Schoharie CTE student, is the<br />
president of the NYS SkillsUSA Chapter. This student will be meeting with his<br />
Congressman and his NYS Representative to gain support with Perkins Funding.<br />
There will also be leadership activities in which he will participate. This student is<br />
the first student from the Schoharie CTE to be the President of the Skills USA student<br />
chapter; having him as the State President is an honour. Schoharie CTE benefits<br />
greatly from having a State Officer. This also benefits the student, as he will gain<br />
valuable leadership experience. The motion passed unanimously.<br />

It was moved by Mrs. Lenhardt and seconded by Mrs. Beloncik to enter into Executive<br />
Session at 7:06 p.m. to Review Tenure Recommendations, and to Discuss Collective<br />
Bargaining Unit Negotiations. The motion passed unanimously.<br />
