worked in the Centre with Rosemount Catering since its opening. I would also like to welcome her
replacement Sharon Maher.
I would like to say a special thank you and bid a fond farewell to Todor Panayotov, who worked with us
as the Centre Caretaker for over eight years. Todor was an invaluable member of staff who
demonstrated courtesy and respect to the many visitors and course attendees over the years and who
executed his duties with professionalism and an incredible attention to detail. I wish him well on his
return to his native Bulgaria. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mick Tynan, who has
taken over the role of Centre Caretaker. Mick joined us in November and brings many new skills to the
role of Caretaker.
Thanks are also due to Geraldine Bergin, the Centre cleaner. Geraldine maintains a very high standard
of cleaning and takes pride in ensuring that the Centre always looks its best.
Thank are also due to Gerry Kerry for his outdoor caretaking services. Gerry takes pride in the
appearance of the Centre.
I wish to thank our neighbours in the Cúisle Centre for their co-operation with regard to car parking on
many occasions. Their accommodation is much appreciated.
Thank you to all the teachers, parents, SNAs and members of various Boards of Managements who
attended our courses during the year and who gave very relevant feedback.
Thank you to Jerome Morrissey and his colleagues at the National Centre for Technology in Education
(NCTE).
Thanks to all the staff of the Teacher Education Section (TES ) Department of Education and Skills for
their support during the year. A special word of welcome to Eddie Ward (Principal Officer TES) who has
replaced Dr Alan Wall and I wish Alan every success in his new role as Director with the Department of
Education and Skills.
