Making Visible the Judgments We Use in Assessing Students’ Short Stories
This workshop for English Teachers of Leaving Certificate English looked at how to:
Provide a workshop for teachers of English using real examples of students’ writing
Explore the different perspectives involved in assessing a piece of work - the reader’s
perspective, the teacher’s perspective and the examiner’s perspective
Encourage teachers to consider how best to support the writer-in-waiting
Create a community of shared practice, shared values and shared meanings
