the list of terms and definitions covered by this Expert Committee.<br />

Financial situation analysis<br />

In view of the number of important tasks ahead, the Expert Committee<br />

emphasized the need for continued funding to the Medicines Quality Assurance<br />

Programme and the need to reach out to programmes and organizations that<br />

use the international guidelines and standards developed by this Committee, as<br />

these were almost exclusively supported by the Prequalification of Medicines<br />

Programme. The Expert Committee was concerned that the number of staff<br />

working in this area was not sufficient to perform the tasks required.<br />
