In a building formerly occupied by a meat packing
factory, enter Loungelover and your jaw will drop
at the sheer opulence, eccentricity and oddity of
this imaginatively imposing venue.
The bar for which the term maximalism was coined, it encapsulated
the design world’s love affair with moreism as we turned our back on
the dreary minimalism so beloved of the nineties.
Loungelover is an award winning bar dedicated to cocktails and
Japanese food. We can cater for a variety of needs whether you
want to book for 2 guests just for cocktails or hire out the entire bar
any day of the week or week-end. The food is essentially Japanese.
We have been able to take all kinds of bookings for any special
occasion. We have had launch parties here, fashion shows, film
premier after parties and post award parties as well as Madonna’s
48th birthday party. The capacity of the venue for exclusive hire is
a maxim of 170 guests. We have an official taxi service (Tower Cars)
to greet you as you leave and offer you a safe trip home.

We sampled countless steaks to find the world’s ‘Best in Show’. And,
after too many meals to mention, we struck culinary gold: the
wet-aged USDA prime Black Angus from Creekstone Kansas, and
dry-aged Scottish cuts from Inverurie – the birthplace of the
legendary Aberdeen Angus steak. These prime meats are
individually cut and freshly cooked on our authentic Montague
Broiler in our open kitchen. You’d be hard pushed to find a better
steak anywhere in Canary Wharf.
