The Vision Came True<br />
U početku bijaše vizija. Restoran visoke francuske, mediteranske<br />
kuhinje u kojem će se tradicija i moderan pristup sljubiti u jedinstven<br />
doživljaj okusa, praćen poezijom savršeno odabranoga vina.<br />
Vizija mladog kuhara koji se otisnuo u svijet u potragu za znanjem,<br />
vještinom, istomišljenicima, učiteljima od kojih će upijati iskustvo...<br />
susrela se, nakon nekog vremena s još jednom vizijom. Vizijom<br />
luksuznog boutique hotela koji će vrhunskom elegancijom buditi<br />
maštu i plijeniti pozornost.<br />
Dvije vizije ostvarile su se u restoranu Wine Vault hotela Monte<br />
Mulini u kojem chef Tomislav Gretić ostvaruje svoju mladenačku viziju<br />
vrhunske kreativne kuhinje u prekrasnom ambijentu vinskoga podruma<br />
obogaćenog elementima modernog dizajna. Podruma u kojem jedan<br />
od najboljih hrvatskih sommeliera, Emil Perdec u svakom trenutku<br />
At the beginning, there was a vision. A restaurant with top French,<br />
Mediterranean cuisine, which would merge tradition and a modern<br />
approach into a unique experience of taste, accompanied by the<br />
poetry of perfectly selected wine.<br />
The vision of a young chef who set out into the world searching for<br />
knowledge, skill, like-minded people, teachers from whom he would<br />
learn. After a while, this vision met another vision, the vision of a<br />
luxurious boutique hotel, whose excellent elegance would stir the<br />
imagination and attract attention.<br />
Those two visions came true in the Wine Vault restaurant at the <strong>Hotel</strong><br />
Monte Mulini, where the chef Tomislav Gretić realizes his youthful<br />
vision of excellent creative cuisine in the wonderful surroundings of a<br />

je jedinstvenog doživljaja i užitaka kojima<br />
ćemo se vraćati.<br />
Uostalom, kao što kaže Tomislav Gretić: “Ovo<br />
što imate pred sobom je moje životno djelo,<br />
ostavština ako želite...<br />
Kratki sažetak lutanja po svijetu u posljednjih<br />
deset godina pretočio sam na papir. Tu su<br />
svi utjecaji i okusi, svi mali skriveni znakovi...<br />
Ovaj meni sam želio spremati prije 20 godina,<br />
ali nisam imao ni znanja, ni kulinarske<br />
discipline za nešto ovakvo. Ovaj meni je<br />
rezultat mnogih neprospavanih noći i bezbroj<br />
cigareta i kava dan za danom, mjesecima,<br />
godinama.<br />
Kad otvorite ove stranice ja vam nudim svoju<br />
dušu, kreativnost... sebe”.<br />
Točka na kojoj su se obje vizije susrele<br />
zove se vrhunska kvaliteta. Samo vrhunske<br />
namirnice od kojih se u Wine Voultu svakoga<br />
dana kreiraju jela majstorskih kombinacija<br />
okusa. Doživljaj kojeg vrijedi ponoviti...<br />
Uživati se može samo u ugodnom ambijentu,<br />
bez žurbe, u neobaveznom razgovoru sa<br />
sommelierom koji će vam posvetiti svoje<br />
vrijeme. Opuštena atmosfera vrhunske<br />
kvalitete plijeni. Baš tako oduševit će nas<br />

you have in front of you is my life’s work, a<br />
legacy, if you want…”<br />
He has placed a summary of his wandering<br />
around the world for a last decade on paper.<br />
This is where we can find all influences and<br />
tastes, every little hidden sign. This is the<br />
menu I wanted to cook 20 years ago, but I<br />
didn’t have the knowledge or the culinary<br />
discipline for something like this. This menu<br />
is the result of many sleepless nights and a<br />
countless number of cigarettes and coffee,<br />
day after day, month after month, year after<br />
year.<br />
“When you open these pages, I will offer you<br />
my soul, my creativity… myself”. The point<br />
where both visions met is called top quality.<br />
Only the best groceries are used in the<br />
Wine Vault to create dishes with masterly<br />
combinations of flavors. An experience which<br />
should be repeated. You can only enjoy in<br />
pleasant surroundings, without any rush, in<br />
a casual conversation with a sommelier who<br />
has time to spare. The relaxed atmosphere of<br />
top quality is attractive. And thus, we will be<br />
thrilled at the Wine Vault restaurant, and the<br />
entire <strong>Hotel</strong> Monte Mulini.<br />
