Association of Skateboard<br />

Companies h<strong>as</strong> deemed June<br />

21 International Go Skateboarding<br />

Day. Skateboarders from all over<br />

the world will be using this day <strong>as</strong><br />

an excuse to tell their bosses to<br />

fuck off, jump on a board and do<br />

what they do best: skate. Of course,<br />

this is probably your everyday<br />

routine, but what better way to<br />

celebrate the summer solstice than<br />

supporting your favorite local skate<br />

shop on Go Skate Day? <strong>SLUG</strong>’s<br />

making it e<strong>as</strong>y for you with this list<br />

of GSD events. For more info on<br />

Milo’s going to be playing Santa all<br />

over the valley on Go Skate Day.<br />

The street team will be hitting up<br />

about seven random skateparks<br />

all over town, giving away Milo<br />

decks to those taking advantage of<br />

the holiday. Whether you’ve been<br />

naughty or nice, keep a lookout for<br />

these guys <strong>as</strong> you celebrate at your<br />

favorite local park.<br />

Peaks is gearing up for Go Skate<br />

Day with a barbecue at the shop<br />

from 1-5 p.m. Join them for some<br />

food and hang with DC mystery<br />

guest riders all afternoon. This local<br />

shop is spreading the Skate-m<strong>as</strong><br />

spirit with $25 shop decks all day<br />

long, so make sure to stop by and<br />

gift yourself.<br />

“wild in the streets” skate session in<br />

celebration of Go Skate Day. Meet<br />

at the shop at noon on June 21 for<br />

a group ride down Redwood Road<br />

to the South Jordan Skate Park.<br />

Chaos will ensue in the form of a<br />

skate session with some product<br />

giveaways, so don’t miss out on<br />

munchies in check with a barbecue<br />

provided by the local Dairy Queen,<br />

and look forward to some fun<br />

competitions, goofy games and a<br />
